Best-Dressed Celebs at the MTV VMAs Red-Carpet
Although Black was the dominant colour at the VMAs red carpet, it made all other colours more noticable.

It was a star studded night in which the VMAs made its way back after 2 years of COVID restrictions. The iconic award show, which is known for its glamour and couture like fashion pieces, had a mix of Goth. Held at the Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey, the VMAs brought out the best of fashion with a mix of Goth and Couture.
The most-anticipated award ceremony saw performances by the likes of Bad Bunny and Nicki Minaj, with Jack Harlow and LL Cool J hosting. Celebrity fashion watchers also had much to celebrate as style darlings including Taylor Swift, Lil Nas and Becky G arrived in show-stopping ensembles.
Most celebrities choose black as the main colour for their outfit. They also brought outfits to life with fetishwear-inspired accessories, such as singer Dove Cameron’s thick leather choker, or flashes of colours, like Sabrina Carpenter’s rainbow embellishments.
Stars also dare to bare, with celebrities including Ashley Graham, Tate McRae, Anitta, and Blackpink’s Jennie all flashing with their looks. Men were also present, too, of course! They mostly bared their torsos and wore gender-fluid fashion, bringing a certain softness to the menswear ensembles, with Conan Gray, Harris Reed, Ethan Torchio.
J Balvin
Colombian singer J Balvin appeared in a Oversized & Slouchy Louis Vuitton suit at the VMAs. He accessorised his look with Tiffany & Co jewellery while dying his hair red with some tiger stripes.

Taylor Swift
Singer Taylor Swift was the QUEEN of the evening! She wore a sparkling dress by Oscar de la Renta and completed the look with a collar of diamonds wrapped around her neck to match baubles glittering across her arms. She also wore her dark blonde hair parted down the middle and tied back, with her signature bright red lipstick highlighting her flawless features.

Lil Nas X
Lil Nas X was on the spot during the evening award-event! He looked stunning wearing a sculptural Harris Reed ensemble featuring a tiered feathered skirt frame and headdress.

Sabrina Carpenter
Singer Sabrina Carpenter wore a floor-length Moschino dress covered with colourful sequin flowers. She amplified her look with her dark eye makeup, black headband and wavy bangs.

Anitta
Singer Anitta looked gorgeous paying homage to Lil Kim’s famed 1999 VMAs outfit. She wore an asymmetrical red corset and an artistic nipple cover from Schiaparelli Haute Couture Collection Fall/Winter 2022.

Jack Harlow
Nominee and host, Jack Harlow, wore a standard black suit and chose a chocolate leather ensemble, completing the look with a high-necked shirt in a similar hue.

Conan Gray
Singer Conan Gray chose to grace the runway wearing a whimsical Harris Reed ensemble with a lace-trimmed train and blazer.

Blackpink’s Members
Blackpink’s members Lisa, Jisoo, Jennie and Rosé graced the red-carpet in complementary all-black outfits.
