Academy Museum Gala 2022: The Most Striking Looks Celebs Wore
Sequins and plunging necklines dominated the first red carpet of the season in Hollywood.
Hollywood stars gathered at the Renzo Piano-designed museum created specifically to tell the story and cultural impact of the film industry. For the second edition of the multitudinous gala was attended by stars such as Amal Clooney, Jessica Chastain, Kaia Gerber and Alicia Vikander among others. An increasingly prominent awards that brought together established actresses such as Tilda Swinton and Emma Stone, with new promises of the industry as Hoyeon Jung or Alexa Demie. And how could it be otherwise they have left us memorable looks. From Selena Gomez opting for a black tailored suit by Giorgio Armani to Hailey Bieber who captured the attention with a mocha colored cutout dress designed by Anthony Vaccarello for Saint Laurent.
In terms of trends, feathers, rhinestones and transparencies stood out over corseted silhouettes, with strategic openings and dramatic baroque-inspired designs. Here are our favorite looks from the attendees of one of the most anticipated events in the film industry, the Academy Museum Gala 2022.
AMAL CLOONEY AND GEORGE CLOONEY
One of the best-dressed couples of the night was Amal Clooney and George Clooney who looked incredible on the red carpet. Amal opted for a strapless green and taupe gown from Del Core’s 2023 resort collection, while George wore a classic black tux.
JESSICA CHASTAIN
Oscar-winning actress Jessica Chastain stunned everyone in this flowing floral silk gown from Oscar de la Renta. The dress featured sheer elements and a delicate caped train. She completed the look with sparkly heels.
EIZA GONZALEZ
All eyes were on Eiza Gonzalez when she made a stunning red carpet appearance in this hot red LaQuan Smith dress. She paired it with Le Silla shoes and sparkling Bulgari jewellery.
HAILEY BIEBER
Supermodel Hailey Bieber wowed in this chocolate gown from Saint Laurent. Her taupe YSL dress was sleeveless and featured cutouts and a ruched skirt, which she paired it with a simple gold necklace.

Singer Joe Jonas shined in a punk look. It featured a leather suit black with printed artwork detailing.
