DIESEL Pre-Fall 2023 Focuses on Everyday Fashion
Denim jackets, mini-skirts, baggy jeans and more take over the brand’s Pre-Fall 2023 range.
Fashion house DIESEL presented its Pre-Fall 2023 Menswear and Womenswear collection with a futuristic perspective, where volume and denim are present with the version that marked a whole decade.
For this Pre-Fall 2023 collection, creative director Glenn Martens plays with realistic and otherworldly themes. The lookbook was captured by photographer Arnaud Lajeunie, with styling by Ursina Gysi, hair by Dushan Petrovich, makeup by Stephanie Kunz and casting by Isabel Bush.
The dieselization that Glenn Martens set out to achieve when he took over as Diesel’s creative director continues with this Pre-Fall collection in which denim, utility, usability and experimentation made for everyone play a major role.
“My focus for this collection is real, everyday fashion. It’s about the garments that will arrive in our stores, with the nonchalance and charm that is totally Diesel. The pieces have their own personality: when you see them, you know they are from our Diesel universe,” said Martens.
The Diesel Pre-Fall 2023 collection features fashion-forward pieces that infuse the everyday closet with sass, charm and the true Diesel attitude that always changes to reflect your mood.
“Diesel’s rebellious, non-conformist and futuristic attitude is the main line for Pre-Fall 2023. Always epitomized by the iconic Diesel Red, the colour melds into the collection in gradient knit dresses in a slim, zip-up, hooded silhouette with black distressed denim. lined with a touch of red.” – by Diesel.
The collection also combines leather jackets with straight-cut pants and a washed-out effect. Neon tones stand out over natural tones such as beige on sporty pieces that, discreetly and some not so much, the brand’s logo can be appreciated as the protagonist.

Denim, as expected, plays a key role: woven as a jersey for hoodies, sweatpants and even underwear; cut with a biker or reverse details for jeans; or with unexpected details like the hidden waistband inside the jeans.
Nostalgic for the 2000s, Glenn Martens injects a good dose of the brand’s D logo on several pieces by making it as ubiquitous as possible in the collection: it appears embroidered on the back of pants and skirts, hoodies, metallic and oversize prints on sweaters, on buckles on its iconic belt skirt, on the hardware of a Charm bag whose chains can be used as a necklace, and on the chest of several metallic pieces.
Other highlights include the long-sleeved T-shirts with enlarged and distorted world map prints to create an abstract camouflage to emphasize Diesel’s global ambitions. Square blazers, multi-pocket bombers, faded flannel shirts, Canadian tuxedos and many accessories and footwear are also featured, such as the SERENDIPITY PRO X1 that re-energizes Diesel’s classic sneaker, PROTOTYPE and PROTOTYPE CR in new colours and new pieces from the Diesel Eyewear collection.
